Consists of a group of independent dentists who provide treatment to those on Aetna Dental Plans. However, it must be noted that due to demand, your favorite dentist may not available at the time of request. The composition of the network of dentists operating can be altered, but all those on Aetna Dental Plans will be notified in adherence with the law. Also, Aetna is not liable for any medical or dental treatment, so therefore, it is not to be held responsible for whatever happens during your time with these dentists. Aetna does not choose the dentist so they cannot be held accountable for that individual’s performance, and that dentist is responsible for their own conduct during any procedures.

All dentists who are taking part in this program have generously agreed to allow the dental plan program’s clients to get certain supplies and services for an agreed discount price. This basically means that the dentist will charge a program member less than they normally do, but that person is entirely responsible for full payment of the agreed fee.
Once the fee has been decided, it is up to the member to pay the dentist in full unless alternative arrangements have been made and agreed to by both parties. If the dentist has stringent policies about paying interest on late fees, then the member must adhere to them. Members do not receive money from Aetna, nor do the dentists. Aetna is not responsible for any transactions that take place between client and dentist. These two parties must decide on the services provided and fees payable themselves. Members must settle the financial details without any interference from Aetna. Also, Aetna is not to blame if the member is unhappy with the excellent discount rates.
